Maryland Chamber of Commerce Announces
Small Business of the Year Awards Finalists

Annapolis, MD (May 10, 2007) - The Maryland Chamber of Commerce today announced the finalists for its Small Business of the Year Awards Program. Winners will be announced during the Chamber’s Growing Business, Celebrating Success event on June 1, at the Hilton BWI Airport Hotel.

This year’s finalists are:

1-5 Employees

  • Baltimore's Best Party Entertainers, supported by the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce
  • Murray Financial Group, Inc., supported by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce
  • Strategic Management Partners, Inc. supported by the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the Annapolis Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce

In all, there were 35 nominees. The judging panel for the awards program is comprised of representatives of Maryland's business media, including the Washington Smart CEO magazine, The Baltimore Examiner, and Corridor Inc. Criteria upon which the nominees were judged include performance, growth, innovation, creativity, competitiveness, community involvement and more.

The Maryland Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit coalition of 840 businesses who employ more than 440,000 people in the state.
